Art Technique Now n°17: Kazumasa Nagai

This is the 17th volume of the Japanese series “Art Technique Now” dedicated to the work of designer Kazumasa Nagai. 

The series published by Kawade Shobo Shinsha offered surveys focusing on individual artists, techniques, and creative practices, each presented as its own volume. 

This edition presents a glimpse into the practice of Kazumasa Nagai, the legendary japanese designer known for his stellar poster work where op-art and geometric shapes often coexist with nature, and maybe even more for the Sapporo Winter Olympic Games of 1966.

In addition to a beautiful collection of his work, the book also include many preliminary sketches by Nagai, offering insight in his design process.

It is a particularly rare number of this series.
